Does Growing Green Grass Feel Impossible?
Sod installation is a great way to achieve a beautiful and lush lawn quickly. If you want to upgrade your outdoor space, team up with the sod installers at Southern City Farm and Landscaping. We focus on providing a thorough grading process to create a stable best foundation for your new sod in and around the New Orleans and Metairie, LA areas.
We’ll start by removing the old weeds and debris from your old lawn. We then regrade the area and add fertile river sand to promote proper drainage, avoiding the use of garden soil which can be too high in nutrients and retain too mich moisture, causing root rot. Once the area is prepared, we’ll lay your sod in a staggered pattern, guaranteeing even coverage and healthy growth for a vibrant lawn. After laying, we give you tips on keeping your lawn healthy such as watering for 30 minutes a day for the first 30 days, and other fertilizing and weeding techniques.
